Is it safe to update my automation task in GoHighLevel software?

By | July 20, 2023

Hey Guys, quick question. I was wondering if it’s okay to update my automation to edit some of the emails, however I have some people enrolled in my automation. They have not received any of my emails yet… is it fine to update it ???

The original post in the GoHighLevel Official Facebook group asks whether it's okay to update an automation in the GoHighLevel CRM software if there are people enrolled in it who haven't received any emails yet. The person wants to know if updating the automation will cause any issues for those who haven't received any emails.

In relation to GoHighLevel software, it is generally safe to update an automation even if there are people enrolled in it who haven't received any emails yet. GoHighLevel allows you to make changes to your automations without affecting the progress of those already enrolled. This means that if you update the emails within the automation, the individuals who have not received any emails will receive the updated versions.

When updating the automation, it's important to ensure that the changes made do not disrupt the flow and purpose of the automation. If the updates involve significant changes that may affect those already enrolled, it's recommended to use the “Clone” feature in GoHighLevel to create a new automation for the updated version. This way, you can continue sending emails to those enrolled in the original automation while introducing the updated version to new leads or prospects.
