My client is getting confused about GoHighLevel software – Can you help clarify?

By | July 20, 2023

This may be an obvious question, but I am a bit confused.

My client is getting inbound calls from leads calling our twilio number. But that number isn’t displayed anywhere for random leads.

The only way leads find out about this number is after receiving an automated text from us after an opt in, so I’m not sure how they are calling it?

Or am I wrong and they’re not actually calling it they are calling the clients business number and somehow it is still showing up in the conversations in GHL? But when I click on details on that inbound call it shows as coming from the leads number to the twilio number

Also I don’t remember this happening in the past so just be recent, but I haven’t made any changes to the sub account

Title: Mysteries of Inbound Calls in GoHighLevel CRM: Unraveling the Twilio Number Conundrum

Summary:
A user in the GoHighLevel Official Facebook group has expressed confusion regarding inbound calls from leads to their Twilio number. The Twilio number is not openly displayed for random leads, and they can only become aware of it after receiving an automated text from the user's opt-in process. This raises questions about how these leads are contacting the Twilio number or if they might be reaching the client's business number but still showing up in GoHighLevel conversations. The user mentions not having made any recent changes to the sub-account.

Insights:
The scenario described suggests a mysterious occurrence within the GoHighLevel CRM system. To understand this phenomenon, it is essential to consider GoHighLevel's integration with Twilio. Twilio is a communication platform that allows for SMS and phone call management.

One possibility is that the user's automated text messages contain the Twilio number, allowing leads to respond directly to it. This would explain why the number is not openly displayed before the opt-in process. The user should review their opt-in setup and messages to confirm if this is the case.

Alternatively, it is plausible that leads are indeed calling the client's business number, but due to the GoHighLevel and Twilio integration, these calls are being captured and displayed within GoHighLevel conversations. Examining the call details within GoHighLevel can help determine if this is the case.

As the user states they have not made any recent changes to the sub-account, other factors may contribute to this phenomenon. GoHighLevel's support team or experts within the Facebook group can provide further insights and guidance.

I am fairly confident your second half is correct. My business line shows up in my conversation including my voicemails.
