My company uses Zoho's CRM to track and manage leads. Our users submit leads by sending an email to an email address that we've created specifically for this purpose. This email must follow a certain format. The trigger for this particular Zap is the email's inbox. The Action will only continue if the “From” email address is set in the filters list. Action will send email via SMTP by Zapier to the Zoho CRM email address and the lead will be added to the CRM.
We are planning to switch to GoHighLevel. Can you please explain how I would configure this Zapier function to work with GHL? I am told that each user would require a different API and I am not too sure how I would manage that. Thanks in advance.

The original post in the GoHighLevel Reddit forum discusses the process of using Zoho's CRM to track and manage leads through email submissions. The user mentions that they have set up a specific email address for leads, and when an email is received in that inbox, it triggers a Zapier function. This function checks if the “From” email address is on the filters list and if it is, an email is sent via SMTP to the Zoho CRM email address, adding the lead to the CRM.
The user is planning to switch to GoHighLevel and needs guidance on how to configure this Zapier function with GoHighLevel. They mention being unsure about managing different APIs for each user.
To configure this function with GoHighLevel, you will need to set up the necessary integrations with GoHighLevel and Zapier. In GoHighLevel, you will create an API key specific to each user. This API key will be used in the Zapier configuration to authenticate the user and allow the connection between the two platforms. Each user will have their own unique API key to ensure secure access to their data.
Once the API keys are generated, you can set up the Zap in Zapier similar to how it was done with Zoho CRM. You will specify the trigger to be the email's inbox and configure the filters to include the “From” email address. The action will be sending an email via SMTP, but this time to the GoHighLevel CRM email address to add the lead.
Managing multiple API keys for each user can be done by securely storing and associating them with the respective user accounts in your system or database. This way, when a user triggers the Zap, their API key can be retrieved and used in the configuration.
